I just posted video #4 in my youtube series called “Real Estate Private Equity Modeling Test”. Basically, I took a real estate modeling test from a large RE PE shop and I solve it piece by piece. I’m in 1.5 hours so far.
That said, I made a mistake in video #3. Sadly, I’m not perfect.
This left me with a dilemma. Do I rerecord #3 and pretend it never happened or do I make a note in #3 comments section, fix it in #4, and call the mistake out?
In other words, do I pretend that I’m perfect and not confuse the viewer, or do I trade a little bit of confusion for honesty? I don’t know if there’s a right answer for all cases, but in my experience as a teacher, I’d rather show a little humility and then fix the mistake. I think students trust you more if they see that you’re fallible.
